Hyundai Economic Job Creation Overview

Being a global corporation Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) holds in possession various international facilities, and since late 1990s it has started construction of manufacturing plants abroad. Through intensive economic activities only by itself HMC outnumbers 78,000 employees worldwide, and if summed up by employees from affiliated companies and joint ventures the number will exceed several thousand hundreds.
With all its effort toward the revival of local economies via global employment programs and car production activities, Hyundai Motor Company understands the importance of social responsibility which is one of the essentials worldwide.

Global Local Recruitment

Through the global management initiative, we have actively entered the overseas markets and recruited employees from local communities. In 2008, the number of local employees increased by 4.9% from previous year to 21,800, accounting for 27.9% of the total Hyundai Motor Company employees. We contributed to the local economy by hiring employees from the local community and treated all employees equally, regardless of their nationality, culture, ethnicity, language, and religion.
